Drivergence Launches Friday 23 October
drivergencerelease
Our next game is a racer. Drivergence is neon anti-grav racing in the year 2150. It runs in your browser, with nothing to download, and plays on a phone too.
It launches on Friday 23 October at 1pm UK time (12:00 UTC).
What's in it
- Eight tracks: neon city streets, a mountain pass, glass tubes through the dunes, an ice shelf, a reef, a lava mantle, open sea and a jungle temple. Each one can be raced forward, reversed and at night.
- A career to climb: championship cups and licences from ROOKIE to APEX, against seven rival pilots who talk back.
- A daily cup with prizes nothing else in the game drops.
- Your craft: five hulls, blueprints to learn, parts to print, and skins and stickers to earn on the track.
- Your quarters: a room of your own on Floor 88 to furnish, a garage under the tower, and a night drive through the rain with the radio on.
- Race your friends: send a link and they race your ghost. Every lap is replayed and verified by the server, so the leaderboards are real.
- A full Eurobeat soundtrack, a track for every course.
Free to play
Drivergence is free. There's a flat $5 a month membership for members' cups and tracks, more pilots and more training queues. It never makes a craft faster, and whatever you win as a member stays yours.
Pre-register
Pre-register at drivergence.com and you'll get one email the moment it opens, plus the Founder sticker for your craft. Only pilots who sign up before launch will ever have it.
See you on the Grid.
